Hello.  I'm Kayla, "mom" to dogs Diablo, Bruiser, and Sammy.

In addition to a true compassion for animals, I bring to Dallas and Pals many years experience in on-leash and off-leash dog walking, as well as pet sitting dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ferrets, and reptiles.  In the past I owned a horse so I am familiar with the care they require as well.

I have three dogs of my own who I have been taking to off-leash dog parks for years.  In addition, I have three years experience walking clients dogs at off-leash dog parks.  My three dogs have also provided me with experience in proper leash handling techniques, and how to safely walk multiple dogs on-leash at the same time. These skills come in handy when bringing the dogs to and from the car at the dog park!

Additionally, I have attended obedience classes with my dogs, and worked for Petco several years ago where I gained valuable pet knowledge. Volunteering at the Humane Society provided me with experience walking and bathing dogs.  This also taught me a great deal about animal behavior and health, and I received the skills necessary to assist in educating the public about responsible pet ownership.

Pet CPR and first aid courses, along with hands on experience, have provided me with the skills to give injections and medications, provide wound care, provide care to animals recovering from surgery, and to prepare special diets for pets with food allergies.

After spending many years working in offices, joining Dallas and Pals has given me the opportunity to work with animals and to help bring peace of mind to many pet owners while they are away from home.
